Tiny Jigs & Reel Steppers learn to dance.
Junior classes for dancers from pre-school to year 6. They start with learning very basic steps and exercises, then progress to learning simple structured dances to music, developing musicality and rhythm.
Our Beginner dancers may then receive an entry form for a Feis - aka as an Irish dancing competition. These are great fun and our dancers have the opportunity to win medals and trophies.
Dancers then move through Primary, Elementary, Intermediate and Open Feis grades, building their dance skills and technique along the way as they learn move intricate steps and choreography.
Reel Steppers Irish Dance
Starting out or making a comeback??? This is the senior class for you!
Our senior dancers are year 7 and up and have various levels of ID experience (including none at all).
Have fun and keep fit, or, for our more competitive dancers, prepare for the Feis season.
DANCER'S GRADE EXAMS
The exams are recommended for all dancers, whether competitive or recreational. They give all students the opportunity to be assessed individually on their progress. All successful candidates receive a certificate and a written report for each grade undertaken.
There are 12 grades to complete and there is also a Prelim Exam for our very inexperienced dancers.
CLRG NOW REQUIRES ALL CANDIDATES FOR THE TCRG EXAMS TO HAVE COMPLETED ALL 12 GRADES.
